Rhode Island: AFL-CIO Endorses Gov. Casino Plans
According to a recent story by WPRI.com:
NATICK, Mass. (AP) - The state's largest labor organization is throwing its weight behind Gov. Deval Patrick's efforts to build three resort casinos in Massachusetts.
AFL-CIO leaders voted unanimously Thursday to support the plan, saying it will spur economic development and create jobs.
The organization's president, Robert Haynes, says it will make the casino proposal 1 of its top priorities this year, along with health care reform and education....click to continue.
